Vortex Coffee Co is a coffee shop located on Wardell Street, offering a variety of specialty coffees, craft beer and woodfire pizzas. They also serve house-made pies and brunch dishes like Benny bruschetta with spinach, tomatoes, bocconcini and hollandaise sauce. The restaurant uses their own homegrown chilli to make freshly-infused chilli oil to spice up meals upon request. While temporarily closed for maintenance and restructuring in August 2022, Vortex Coffee Co remains open for business as usual otherwise.

To reach Wardell Street in Brisbane, there are a few options depending on your mode of transportation:
Public Transport:
- Take the train to Toowong Station, then transfer to either bus number 476 or 475 towards City and get off at the Milton Rd at Croydon St stop. Walk east along Milton Rd and turn left onto Bold St. Turn right onto Heussler Tce and continue straight until you reach Wardell Street.
Driving/Parking:
- If you are driving, take Coronation Drive and turn onto Heussler Terrace. Follow this road until you reach Wardell Street. There is street parking available on Wardell Street and surrounding streets.
- Alternatively, there is a paid car park located at the Milton Medical Centre on Heussler Terrace (entry via Baroona Road) which may have availability.
