It is with a heavy heart that we tell you MAO LATIN DINING will be closing permanently mid July.
We want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to each of you who has been constantly supporting us during this incredible journey.
As many of you know, our small family of two recently had a new addition👶🏻, who has brought a lot of happiness and love to our lives. As new parents far away from our native home, we want to share and enjoy together as much as we can all those unic moments our little one has prepared for us.
Words are not enough to express our massive gratitude to all our beloved customers who fulfill our little restaurant with love, smiles and good wishes to our family. We will never forget all the support, presents and expressions of love to us since our little Samuel was growing in mommy's tummy. You guys made our days much easier and encouraged us to continue every day with our challenge of being new parents and business owner; this meant the world to us.
Once again a heartfelt thank you from the bottom of our hearts to the amazing Paddington and surrounding community and our regular customers who kept us busy during this couple of years, we couldn’t have done it without you. A piece of our hearts will be always here in Paddington with all of you, and all the incredible memories we’ve created together will always be with us, you made our journey unforgettable.
We may bid farewell, but at the same time we are feeling a strong hunch that will see you all soon ☺️
To our neighbouring business and friends, especially .and.sh*t .paddington .restaurant all we can say is you all are absolute legends, massive thank you for all the support all the time!

MAO Latin Dining is a very small family business, created with so much love and passion for the couple Eduardo Obando and Paula Torres. We will have a new addition to our family very soon 👶🏻💙 and we really thank all our MAO FAMILY for your lovely support every time you come to our restaurant, your kind words, your incredible vibes that makes the best atmosphere around. We feel really lucky for having customers like you.
MAO name has a lovely meaning to us as well and this is also why we have so much love for this name and the place we have been creating during the last 10 months. MAO means “Manuel Alejandro Obando” who was a person truly beloved for us (Eduardo’s little brother). He is our angel and inspiration.
Once again, massive thanks to all of you for always been there to support us. Without you our customers that became part of our family we couldn’t make it! 🤍🫶✨

MAO Latin Dining es un negocio familiar muy pequeño, creado con mucho amor y pasión por la pareja Eduardo Obando y Paula Torres. Muy pronto tendremos una nueva incorporación a nuestra familia 👶🏻💙 y realmente agradecemos a toda nuestra FAMILIA MAO por su encantador apoyo cada vez que viene a nuestro restaurante, sus amables palabras, su increíble vibra que crea el mejor ambiente. Nos sentimos muy afortunados de tener clientes como usted.
El nombre MAO también tiene un significado encantador para nosotros y es por eso que amamos tanto este nombre y el lugar que hemos estado creando durante los últimos 10 meses. MAO significa “Manuel Alejandro Obando” que fue una persona muy querida para nosotros (hermano pequeño de Eduardo). Él es nuestro ángel e inspiración.

To reach Given Terrace in Brisbane, you have a few options for public transport and driving/parking:
Public Transport:
1. Bus: From the city center, you can catch bus number 196 or 199 from Adelaide Street Stop 40 (near City Hall) towards Bardon. Get off at the Given Terrace at Paddington Central stop, which is close to MAO Latin Dining.
2. CityCat Ferry: If you prefer a scenic route, you can take the CityCat ferry from various terminals along the Brisbane River. Disembark at Milton Ferry Terminal and then walk up Baroona Road until you reach Given Terrace.
Driving/Parking:
1. From the city center, head west on Coronation Drive until you reach the intersection with Caxton Street. Turn right onto Caxton Street and continue straight until it becomes Given Terrace. Look for available street parking along Given Terrace or nearby side streets.
2. Alternatively, if you prefer parking in a designated area, there are several paid parking lots in the vicinity of Given Terrace. The closest one is located at Paddington Central Shopping Centre on Latrobe Terrace.
