We’re hiring across front of house.
Two roles are open at 181 Robertson Street, and both are for people with a genuine interest in developing at one of Brisbane’s premier venues.
01. Junior Sommelier. Full-time.
Your main job is the service delivery of our wine programme, working closely with our Wine Director. That means cellar management, advice on the list, teaching the team, and proper sommelier service, while acting as a senior leader on the floor when it’s needed. We’re looking for someone with sommelier and front of house experience in premium, experience-driven venues, a clear desire to deepen their knowledge of wine, service and harvest-focused food, and the confidence to talk about wine with guests and with staff. WSET Level 2 or above preferred.
02. Section Waiter. Full-time or part-time.
High quality, energetic service on a section, focused on a guest experience that lines up with the wine and food programme. We’re looking for experience as a section waiter in fast paced or quality driven venues, and someone keen to establish themselves in a product-led venue.
In both, we’re after the same things: a thoughtful, considered approach, the ability to challenge the ordinary, a calm and detail-oriented service style, and a strong work ethic.
Both roles are up at essa.restaurant/careers. Send a resume and a few lines about yourself to [email protected].
