This is not a post we ever thought we’d have to write. Small business is hard—so incredibly hard—and after three amazing years, we’ve had to make the heartbreaking decision to close the doors of Tannins Brew effective immediately.
Preena and I put everything we had into creating a space where people could come together over great food, craft beer, and coffee. We’ve loved every single moment. From the laughter shared to the quiet chats over a morning brew, Tannins Brew became more than just a business—it became our home, filled with incredible people who have supported us and cheered us on along the way.
To our amazing customers, staff, and friends, thank you. You’ve been part of this journey with us, and your kindness, loyalty, and love have meant the world. We’ve met extraordinary people and made lifelong friends, and for that, we are forever grateful.
As we say goodbye to this chapter, we ask one thing: please continue to support small businesses in your community. In times like these, it means everything. Behind every café, restaurant, or shop are people like us—dreamers who have poured their hearts into creating something special for others to enjoy.

We’ve got an important update: Starting 14th January, Tannins Brew will now open at 8am Tuesday to Sunday. We understand this change may affect our early risers, and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience. This adjustment allows us to adapt to the evolving economy while continuing to serve you with the quality and care you expect from us. Our drive through will also open from 8am-11am on these days. ☕️🍺

**Travel Directions to Doherty Street, Brendale**
**By Public Transport:**
1. **Train:** Take a train to the nearest station, which is Strathpine Station. From there, you can catch a bus or use a rideshare service.

3. **Walking:** If you prefer walking, it's about a 20-minute walk from Strathpine Station to Doherty Street.
**By Car:**
1. **From Brisbane CBD:** Head north on the Bruce Highway (M1). Take the exit toward Gympie Road/State Route 60 and continue onto Gympie Road.
2. **Follow Signs:** Merge onto South Pine Road and follow signs for Brendale.
3. **Turn onto Doherty Street:** Once in Brendale, turn left onto Doherty Street.
