If dining could feel like cinema, this would be our opening scene.
The quiet rhythm of hands shaping sushi.
Steam rising slowly across the counter.
A moment passed from chef to guest, one piece at a time.
At Komeyui Brisbane, omakase is more than a meal.
It is light, texture, movement, timing🍃
a ritual unfolding in front of you.
Crafted quietly.
Felt deeply.

Sometimes the moments guests remember most are the quietest ones.
A piece of sushi placed gently across the counter.
Warm rice against cool fish.
The sound of steam rising between courses.
A brief conversation before the next dish arrives.
At Komeyui, omakase is designed to be experienced slowly —
through atmosphere, pacing, and small details that often go unnoticed.
Because true hospitality is rarely loud.

Dessert, the Komeyui way.
At Komeyui Brisbane, it’s never just something sweet to finish — it’s a quiet reflection of the season, the craft, and the story behind every course.
Delicate, restrained, and unmistakably Japanese, our dessert doesn’t try to impress loudly. Instead, it lingers — subtle textures, balanced flavours, and that moment where everything slows down just a little.
Very Japanese. Very Komeyui. And somehow, always the part you remember on the way home.

For all the quiet things she’s done,
the love that never asked to be seen,
and the moments that shaped us.
This Mother’s Day, we honour her the Komeyui way ✨
through thoughtful dishes, delicate flavours, and time spent together.
Because sometimes, the most meaningful gift…
is simply being at the same table.

Not everything is meant to be ice-cold.
At Komeyui, our sashimi is served slightly tempered, not straight from the fridge. This allows the natural fats of the fish to soften and express their full flavour and texture, rather than being muted by cold temperature.
It’s a small detail✨, but one that reflects a deeper respect for the ingredient.
Sometimes, what feels subtle is actually very intentional.

A full plate, meant to be shared — or not.
Each piece placed with intention,
each bite a balance of season, texture, and craft.
This is where the table quiets down,
and the focus shifts to what’s right in front of you.
Come for one, stay for the whole experience.

Autumn brings a different mood to the table.
Deeper flavours, earthy ingredients, and a touch of whimsy in every course.
Our Aki seasonal omakase captures the beauty of this time of year — authentic, thoughtful, and guided by the rhythm of the season.
Let autumn unfold, one dish at a time. 🍁

Many of our regular guests know and love our à la carte menu — returning for their favourite dishes again and again.
But omakase is something different.
A seasonal journey curated by the chef, where each course is decided by the rhythm of the day’s freshest ingredients.
All you need to do is take a seat and enjoy where the season takes you.

We opened Komeyui Brisbane in 2023 with the same spirit that defines — precise, seasonal, quietly dedicated to the craft.
Not just for special occasions.
But for regular nights.
For spontaneous dinners.
For those who simply love good food done properly.
We offer both à la carte and seasonal omakase — because we believe Japanese dining should be part of life, not reserved for milestones.
It hasn’t always been easy.
There were slower nights.
Moments of doubt.
But we stayed steady.
Now in our third year, we feel the growth.
Familiar faces.
Returning guests.
Brisbane beginning to feel like home.
Thank you for building this with us.
We’re still refining.
Still earning your trust.
Plate by plate. ❤️

Wagyu in our summer omakase ☀️🥩
Silky marbling, barely-there richness, and a melt that lingers without weighing you down. For summer, we keep it refined and restrained — just enough warmth to unlock the aroma, just enough seasoning to let the wagyu speak for itself.
It’s indulgence, reimagined for the season: clean, balanced, and quietly luxurious.
A moment to slow down before the next course flows in.

Chilled Tofu, Yamagata Style
Passionfruit Vinegar–Cured Mackerel with Yuzu Tzatziki
Three small beginnings, each setting a different rhythm.
Fresh, clean, and gently layered — designed to awaken the palate without rushing it.
A quiet, thoughtful opening to our summer omakase at Komeyui.

Even on our fullest nights, the room never feels loud.
There’s a quiet rhythm to it — conversations flowing, chefs moving with intention, time slowing just enough.
That sense of intimacy isn’t accidental.
Calm and relaxed is in our DNA.
It’s how we want you to feel the moment you sit down — held, unhurried, at ease.
Because great dining isn’t just about what’s on the plate.
