A huge and heartfelt thank you to the absolute legend, Places in Brisbane, for taking the time to visit us at our little takeaway shop and more importantly, for hearing our story and sharing it with our community.
We honestly can’t thank you enough for the time, effort and genuine care you put into everything. By sharing our journey, you helped us reach so many people that we simply couldn’t have reached on our own, and that means more to us than words can express.
What really stood out to us is how incredibly down to earth and outgoing you are. Even though we were nervous meeting the infamous foodie, you made us feel comfortable, heard and valued from the moment you walked through our doors.
We are so grateful for everything you’ve done for us, for giving our story a voice, and for helping people discover and support our little takeaway. Your kindness, generosity and efforts will never be forgotten!

To reach Fig Tree in Brisbane, there are several options for both public transport and driving/parking:
Public Transport:
1. From the city center, take the bus or train to Central Station.
2. From Central Station, transfer to the Ferny Grove train line and alight at the Wilston station.
3. From Wilston station, it is a short 5-minute walk to Fig Tree.
Driving/Parking:
1. If you are driving from the city center, head north on Brunswick Street towards Bowen Bridge Road.
2. Continue onto Lutwyche Road and then turn left onto Newmarket Road.
3. After approximately 2 kilometers, turn right onto Kedron Brook Road.
4. Fig Tree will be on your left-hand side.
Parking options:
- There is limited street parking available near Fig Tree on Kedron Brook Road and surrounding streets.
- Alternatively, there may be paid parking facilities nearby or in the vicinity of Wilston Village.
Please note that these directions are provided without mentioning Banh Mi 9 specifically but will guide you to Fig Tree in Brisbane.
