On this Day 10 years ago we were with our team in Buffalo, New York representing Australia at the world’s biggest chicken wing festival - WINGFEST Buffalo Wing Festival!!
After spending 2 days in the convention centre commercial kitchen making over 300 litres of our homemade sauces in 50L pots, then transferring to 3L bottles to transport to the event grounds, setting up our branding for our site and doing the several scheduled media interviews… we were finally ready!!
Over 2 days we saw over 40,000 wing fans from across the USA & CANADA indulge in our flavours.
50 deep fryers, tonnes of wings and litres of sauce later… we came home with 2 trophies!
1st place for “Best New Competitor” & 2nd place for “Best Sweet Sauce” for our Bee Sting (against Anchor Bar - The Birth Place of wings in the USA)!!
Still feel honoured to have put Aussie wings on the map, still have festival goers hit us up every September to ask if we’re coming back and still riding the wave.
Forever grateful for the opportunities & support.
