Finally updated the google listing
So much to be grateful for ...
Thank you for showing your support this last week
Thank you for enjoying our food all these years (we understand we can’t please everyone)
Thank you for organizing to make our last week busier than our first week of opening at Woollongabba
Thank you for making us less sadder by being mean to us (we were very glad we’re closing when you did that to us)
Thank you for reconnecting with me (some faces and messages I’ve not seen or heard from in years)
Thank you for spoiling us with gifts and sweets
Thank you for your kindness and friendships
To those that have my personal number and me having yours, I’m grateful for having you in my life. Thank you for extending your hands in friendship to me. It meant a lot to me, more than you know
To my team, current and those that have move on. Like I’ve said all the time; once a Dapur Dahlia family ALWAYS a Dapur Dahlia family. You are my support and you are my confidante. You made Dapur Dahlia the pride of Brisbane-born, the brand name that will be mentioned for years to come. You will always be in my prayers forever - you’d helped me more than you think I’d helped you
Lastly, thank you for letting this aging home cook lady find her happy place and sharing her passion for food with you. Thank you for letting me having an outlet to get out of my ‘medium’ postpartum depression early, almost 13 years ago. I wouldn’t know where my mental health would be if not for this
I’m no chef and I love cooking for you, for that I’m forever grateful
I will miss all of you
Love,
Felina Farid

What people say
Halal restaurants are becoming increasingly popular among food enthusiasts who seek out authentic and delicious cuisine that adheres to Islamic dietary laws. Dapur Dahlia, a family-style cafe restaurant in Brisbane, is one such place that offers wholesome and honest Malaysian food that is halal certified.
Dapur Dahlia has been serving up mouth-watering dishes since 2008, starting as a market stall before opening a takeaway shop in Upper Mt Gravatt in 2012. The restaurant officially opened on May 6th, 2018 at its new location in Woolloongabba. The menu features a range of Singaporean and Malaysian dishes that are sure to satisfy any craving.
One of the standout items on the menu is their teh tarik, a traditional Malaysian milk tea that is frothed up by pouring it back and forth between two containers. It's the perfect accompaniment to their signature nasi lemak, which comes with fragrant coconut rice, crispy anchovies, peanuts, cucumber slices, and spicy sambal sauce.
Other must-try dishes include their beef rendang, which is slow-cooked for hours until tender and flavorful; their laksa soup with noodles and seafood; and their satay skewers with peanut sauce. Vegetarians will also be pleased with the variety of meat-free options available.
The atmosphere at Dapur Dahlia is warm and welcoming, making it an ideal spot for families or groups of friends to gather over a meal. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items, always happy to make recommendations or answer any questions.
Overall, Dapur Dahlia is a fantastic halal restaurant in Brisbane that offers delicious food at reasonable prices. Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a leisurely meal with friends and family, this restaurant should definitely be on your list of places to try.
