Job Title: Casual Junior Kitchen and Bar Hand

Hungry José Mexican is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Kitchen and Bar Hand. Responsibilities:
As a Junior Kitchen and Bar Hand at Hungry José, you'll be supporting our team to ensure seamless operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Food Preparation: Assisting with basic food preparation, ensuring ingredients are ready for the team
- Dish Washing: Efficiently washing, stacking, and organising pots, dishes, utensils, and glassware.
- Kitchen Hygiene: Maintains basic workplace health and safety standards by ensuring appropriate cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and bar areas including sanitising kitchen appliances, preparation surfaces, floors, and walls.
- Inventory Control: Receiving, categorising and arranging stock deliveries and maintaining cleanliness in storage orders
- Stock Management: Carrying, sorting, and organising food deliveries and keeping storerooms tidy.
- Waste Management: Removing and sorting kitchen waste according to guidelines.
- Teamwork: Collaborating with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service even during peak hours.
- Adaptability: Successfully handling various responsibilities and performing well in fast-paced environments.
Requirements:
To succeed as a Kitchen and Bar Hand at Hungry José, you should have:
- Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol)
- Physical Fitness: A good level of physical fitness to stand for extended periods.
- Teamwork Skills: The ability to work harmoniously within a team-driven environment.
- Adaptability: The capability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and work well under pressure.
- Hygiene Standards: Excellent standards of cleanliness and personal hygiene.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work irregular hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and public holidays (as a casual employee).
- Passion: An enthusiasm for creating memorable dining experiences.
