Brisbane City Council are you "dialling before you dig?" with businesses and residents

Your slow footpath works have been extremely destructive to my small business at 63 George St, Cartel Coffee and others no doubt. You have grossly affected my livelihood and that of staff due to layoffs with a 30-40% down turn

25th August 2025 - Footpath works and closure commenced
18th October 2025 - Works stopped (workers informing us they are done)
26th October 2025 - Contact Brisbane City Council and advised to complete online lodgement
27th October 2025 - Complete online lodgement and await response
31st October 2025 - Site worker suggests fence will be remove on Monday.
13th November...No response from Brisbane City Council fence still up, footpath still blocked off, my business, Cartel Coffee and livelihood adversely affected
