Our horticulture team have been hard at work refurbishing areas, big and small, around the golf course. With well over 50 years of experience amongst the team, the difference is already starting to be seen, particularly over Tennyson and Coot-tha .
Catch up with Course Manager Ben Grylewicz and new lead horticulturalist Danny to see what they’ve been up to.

The Indooroopilly Golf Club we enjoy today is built on the dedication, passion and care of those who came before us.
Our inaugural 50 Year Golden Luncheon was a wonderful opportunity to recognise and celebrate those who have been part of our club for 50 years or more — some reaching an incredible 60 and 70 years of membership!
To all our Golden Members, thank you for the many years of contribution and commitment that have helped shape our club into what it is today.
We look forward to welcoming a new group of Golden Members at next year’s luncheon, as we continue what we hope will become a much-loved tradition and a special date on the club calendar for many years to come.

Still moments from our win over Nudgee last month, securing the BDGA Division 2 Pennants title. The quiet moments of immense focus demanded by matchplay golf. The camaraderie amongst the team and with those who came out to support. That’s what makes Pennants special.

Dylan talks club selection off the teebox at City 7. A challenging Par 4, with a large fairway bunker that makes picking the right number crucial. Blind over the top of the ridge for your approach shot, through the large green gives you confidence to attack the pin.
What do you hit off the tee here?

Stage 2 of our Green Replacement Program is nearing completion as we continue to work on Coot-tha 3 and 9. The team have been hard at work to finish both greens in time for the growing season, with the intention to bring these back into play ideally by Christmas.
Course Manager Ben Grylewicz takes us through the steps involved in the regrowth stage. It’s always interesting learning a bit more about the process and the detail involved in cultivating the best possible playing surfaces.

Last Monday, we hosted the Simon George and Sons IGC Pro-Am, welcoming PGA Associates from around the country to the club. The River Course (Tennyson and Park) was in excellent condition for the day. Thank you to our PGA Associates Jaime Lansi and Anthony Mannion for their tireless work to put on the event, and to our sponsors for supporting this incredible day.

A quick catch-up with our now PGA Professional Dylan Knox on how the year has been so far. Having finished his PGA apprenticeship last year, Dylan’s been flat out coaching and practicing to prepare for next year where he will take the next step in his career as he works towards attaining his Australasian Tour Card.
His passion for the game has only deepened as he stepped further into the world of coaching and running clinics, as he aims to help others hone their craft and love of golf. We can’t wait to see what the next few years hold for Dylan.
