Thank you Jess Pugh MP, Meaghan Scanlon MP and NRA for visiting us. We would also like to thanks our community for supporting us using sustainable packaging. And those people who regularly bring your own containers for takeaway, you guys are truly heroes. Once again thank you and we really appreciate your support.

🎌🍜Mount Ommaney businesses like Japanice aren’t waiting for the plastic bag ban to kick in, they’re getting a head start and getting rid of plastic early! 🍱🍣It was so fabulous to have Minister Meaghan Scanlon MP come and visit this great local business, to see first-hand how they are making the change and transition to rid of single use plastics in their business.

To help businesses get prepared, the Palaszczuk Government is teaming up with the National Retail Association (NRA) as well as the Boomerang Alliance for a travelling roadshows to make sure businesses and community groups are ready for the shift to more sustainable products.

The NRA will be visiting up to 7500 businesses across the state, and running a telephone hotline so that businesses can call for advice on banned items and suitable alternative products.
