175 years.
In 1851, this land on the shores of Moreton Bay was put up for sale. A building went up. A community gathered around it. And what grew from that became the Grand View Hotel - Queensland’s oldest licensed pub, right here in Cleveland.
That’s not just a milestone. That’s a story. And it’s your story as much as it is ours.
First dates and farewell drinks. Footy finals that went down to the wire. Birthday celebrations, engagement parties and long lazy lunches. Families who’ve been coming here for generations - and new faces who walked in once and never really left.
This August, we’re celebrating all of it. One day, one night, one stage - with the whole community, and Vanessa Amorosi headlining the night.

Meet a few of our mums 👋
We talk a big game about hospitality… but honestly? We learned most of it from them. The Grand View has been here long enough to have hosted a few chapters of people’s lives. First dates that became families. Birthdays that became traditions. Tables full of people who all came because someone brought them together … and that someone was usually a mum.
So with Mother’s Day just 2 short weeks away, we’re giving away 4 tickets to our bottomless brunch in the Stradbroke Marquee, because if anyone’s earned a long lunch with a view, it’s her! Bring the family, bring the friends, bring whoever she wants. Just let her show up for once without having to organise a single thing.
