The car that belonged to Rock ’n’ Roll George (a true Brisbane icon who did laps of the city for over 50 years) Everyone knew him. Songs were written about him. He became part of Brisbane’s story.
At the festival, keep an eye out for the iconic 1952 FX Holden, once his own… a fitting tribute to the city we’re celebrating.
This isn’t just about looking back. It’s about celebrating everything that’s brought us here.

What people say
Paniyiri Greek Festival, located on Edmondstone Street in Brisbane, has garnered a lot of attention from various media outlets. The festival is known for its celebration of Greek culture through food, music, and dance.
According to a recent review in the Brisbane Times, the festival was a huge success this year. The article praised the variety of food available and the lively atmosphere. Another review in Weekend Notes echoed these sentiments, stating that the festival had "something for everyone" and was a great way to experience Greek culture.
Online reviews also reflect positively on Paniyiri Greek Festival. On TripAdvisor, one user wrote that they "had an amazing time" at the festival and enjoyed trying all of the different foods. Another user commented that they loved the live music and dancing performances.
However, not all reviews were completely positive. A reviewer on Yelp mentioned that while they enjoyed some aspects of the festival, such as the traditional costumes worn by performers, they found some of the food to be overpriced.
Despite this criticism, it seems that Paniyiri Greek Festival continues to be a popular event in Brisbane. Recent customer comments on social media include "Can't wait for next year's festival!" and "Had so much fun at Paniyiri this weekend!"
Overall, it appears that Paniyiri Greek Festival is well-regarded by both local media outlets and customers alike. With its lively atmosphere and delicious food options, it's no wonder why this festival continues to draw crowds year after year.
