We wanted to give you an important update on the progress at ๐๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ฌ ๐๐๐๐๐จ๐จ๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ง๐ง๐ฎ๐ฆ.
After experiencing ongoing issues with our POS and network systems, we have made the decision to replace the POS system completely and upgrade the network infrastructure throughout the store.
Weโre pleased to say that the new network structure is expected to be completed ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐จ๐ซ๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ , with testing and final setup to follow. ๐ข๐๐ฟ ๐ด๐ผ๐ฎ๐น ๐ถ๐ ๐๐ผ ๐ฏ๐ฒ ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ธ ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฏ๐ ๐บ๐ถ๐ฑ-๐ฎ๐ณ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ป๐ผ๐ผ๐ป ๐ง๐๐ฒ๐๐ฑ๐ฎ๐.
We know many of you have been waiting patiently for us to reopen, and we sincerely apologise to everyone who has been affected by the issues we experienced during our opening period. We understand the frustration and disappointment this has caused, and we genuinely appreciate your patience and understanding.
We have taken this time to fix the problems properly rather than simply putting temporary solutions in place.

To our wonderful Wynnum and surrounding community,
We want to sincerely thank you for the incredible patience and understanding you have shown us since opening our new store.
Unfortunately, during periods of heavy demand, we have been experiencing both network and POS system failures, which are causing unacceptable delays and preventing our team from providing the level of service we expect of ourselves โ and that our customers deserve.

This is absolutely not the way we wanted to begin our journey in Wynnum, and we sincerely apologise to anyone who has experienced long waits or frustration while we have been working through these problems.
๐๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ฌ๐จ ๐ฐ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐๐ค๐ง๐จ๐ฐ๐ฅ๐๐๐ ๐ ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ญ๐๐๐ฆ. Many of our staff are young and relatively new to the industry, and they have been working under incredibly difficult circumstances. They have had to manage long queues, system failures and understandably frustrated customers, often without having the information or tools available to provide the updates and answers customers were quite reasonably asking for. When our systems were down, our team simply did not have access to the information needed to give accurate answers or timeframes. We understand how frustrating this was for our customers, but we ask that you please remember our staff were doing their best in a very challenging situation. We are incredibly proud of the way they continued to show up, work hard and support our customers under pressure.
We are taking the time to properly address these issues so that when we reopen, we can provide the fast, reliable and enjoyable experience you expect from Costas Seafood.
To everyone who has supported us, waited patiently, encouraged our team and given us a chance โ thank you. We truly appreciate it.

It was great to meet owners John, Jinhwa and their team today as they coordinated the lunch rush through the doors.
Open from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week (closing only on Christmas Day), Costaโs offers everything from fresh seafood to take home, to coffee and cake, and of course all the fish and chips favourites. โ๐ฐ๐ฆ
The outdoor courtyard has also been expanded, with plenty of tables to enjoy your meal, or you can grab takeaway and head across the road to soak up our iconic bayside views. ๐
Iโll admit, Iโm quietly excited that Costaโs is just down the road from the ward officeโฆ weโve happily added another local lunch takeaway to the rotation! ๐๐
