Hi everyone!
We’re and — the new owners of Sabai Sabai Thai.
“But weren’t you the old owners of Pawpaw Asian Kitchen?”
Well, yes, we were. So what’s the story?
• Pawpaw Café Woolloongabba is now under new ownership and no longer connected to the Venzin family.
• While we’ve always had great feedback on our food, dine-in trade has been slow the past few years — so we decided it was time for a refresh and a new direction.
The new sign is up, and we’ll be rolling out changes over the coming weeks and months — so bear with us as we evolve and improve our offering.
For now, it’s the same great food… just with a fresh new Thai focussed chapter. Aka “Same, Same, but different”.
If you want to come say hi this month we are doing a little dine in promo. Enter the code HELLO15 using the QR codes to get 15% off dine in. We’d love to see you soon 🙏

A little heads up — in the coming weeks we’ll be changing our concept from Pawpaw Asian Kitchen to Sabai Sabai, which in Thai means “Take It Easy.”
We’re shifting our focus to what we do best: Thai food. We’re creating a fun, easy-going, welcoming space for Bulimba locals to come and eat.
The area has plenty of great spots for date nights and special occasions — but we want to be somewhere you can also come when you’re simply hungry. If you want, feel comfortable to come in your work clothes, your gym gear, let your hair down, and take it easy with Brisbane’s second best Thai food 😉
Why not #1? Because we already own Mons Thai Camp Hill. We’ll also have a focus on speed of food service for quick bites and keeping the menu affordable for families.
Let us know what you think of the new concept and please come in and see us before the change if you want to say goodbye to any non-Thai dishes on the menu.
