We’re super excited to start the 1st round of our Street Food Series at Daily Double Ascot and what a way to start than with none other than our great friends at Embers wood fire dining.
Our friendship started back in 2020 when I was appointed the General Manger at Spicers Hiddenvale and Simon was the head chef of the highly awarded and recognised “Homage” restaurant.
Since this time Simon has gone onto to be the Executive Chef at Beachmont Estate and more recently gone decided to start his own business and to create Embers wood fire dining along side 2 great chefs / friends who have also the same bloodlines of Spicers and Beachmont Estate in Kyle & Alex.
We’ve also recently added a liquor licence at Daily Double which has seen the launch of our wine bar which is open 7 days a week, so together we thought we’ve got a great combination to offer to the local community.
Where: Daily Double Cafe & Wine bar, 86 Charlton St Ascot
When: Saturday 20th January
Time: 4pm-7pm
Menu: Hawker style pork BBQ skewers locally sourced from Tommerups Dairy Farm, Spiced Honey and Fingerlime Glaze, Embers Sourdough and Smokes Garlic Sauce, All cooked over charcoal and wood BBQ.
***VEGO option will be available***
Daily Double cocktail and wine list will be available as always.

Good Morning DD Family,
We hope everyone had a enjoyable time over Xmas and New Years Eve with family and friends.
With our $4 & $5 Xmas / New Year coffee specials being such a success we’ve decided to continue our amazing deal till the end of Jan.
All coffees (any size) $4 and iced drinks $5 will continue to be available between 12pm - close 7 days a week.
We would also like to thank all of you for your continued support for you favourite neighbourhood cafe and wine bar, we appreciate everyone of you.

***Cams Kitchen Xmas Series***
Good Morning DD Family,
Each week in the lead up to Xmas and NYE I will be creating some tasty jams / chutneys / sauces perfect as a present or of course to have on the table for your Xmas feasts.
This week being week 1 of a 4 week series we’ve kicked it off with a delicious Mango and chilli chutney. Spice level is a 3/10.
Only 10 jars will be created each week so get in quick to snap 1 up.
They’re only $10 each or $8 with any coffee purchased.

Monday - 6:30am-2:00pm
Tuesday - 6:30am-2:00pm
Wednesday - 6:30am-2:00pm
Thursday - 6:30am-2:00pm
Friday - 6:30am-2:00pm
Saturday - 6:30am-1:00pm
Sunday - 7:00am-12:00pm
Once we have been notified of the approval of our liquor license (which is any day now) you will see the activation of the Daily Double wine bar upon this news we will then update operating hours accordingly.
Just think......... French champagne, Eden Valley Riesling, Provence Rose, NZ Sav Blanc, Coonawarra Cab Sav, Barossa Shiraz, not to mention Espresso martini with freshly brewed & , Spicy Margs, Aperol Spritz and .rum specialty cocktails.
