Toombul would like to thank the entire community for the outreach of support and offers to help with the clean up over the past week. We have been overwhelmed by the number of messages, particularly as we know the region is doing it tough at this time.
We can confirm the Centre and carpark are closed and will remain this way for some time. Our specialist consultants have assessed the building and the initial assessment shows that the inundation has caused extensive damage. This is the worst flood we have seen at Toombul and the impact is devastating, not only for us, but for all of our retailers, many of whom are small business owners. Our priority is working with and supporting all of our retailers.
Toombul is a community shopping centre and our hearts go out to all of our retailers, customers and the entire QLD and NSW regions as many of us have a major rebuild ahead of us.

The Centre doors and facilities will close once all customers and staff have been able to make a safe departure home.

Due to the current weather event and forecast continued rainfall, the centre will close from 2pm today.
We request all customers plan their safe return home or to other locations. Centre doors and facilities will remain open in the short term to allow organisation of safe departure home.
At this stage the centre is expected to reopen for trade tomorrow morning. We will provide updates as information is made available. Thank you for your cooperation.
