Someone has to do it…
Every time we create a new drink, our team becomes the official taste-testing panel. If we’re going to recommend it to our customers, we need to know it’s actually good!
So yes, there were a few “work meetings” involving cold foam, iced coffees, matcha, and plenty of opinions. 😅
The good news? The new drinks got the tick of approval. ✅
The bad news? Our staff are getting a little too comfortable with their free samples. 🤭
At Etto, we’re serious about great coffee… but we’re also serious about looking after our team and having a bit of fun along the way.

I’m convinced our staff spend more time dancing than working… 💃🕺😂
Not that we’re complaining.
One minute they’re making coffees, the next minute there’s a full dance performance happening behind the coffee machine. 🎶☕
We work hard, the days are busy, and sometimes the best way to get through a big catering run or a morning rush is with a little music and a lot of laughs.
Life’s too short to spend all day being serious.
We’re incredibly lucky to have a team that brings so much energy, personality and happiness to work every day. And we think that positivity is a big part of what makes Etto feel like Etto. 💙
So if you ever walk in and see someone dancing while making your coffee… don’t worry.
That’s just quality control. 😉

WOW… what a day! 💙🎉
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along and celebrated our 14th birthday with us on Thursday.
We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better day. Seeing so many familiar faces, loyal customers, local businesses, friends, families, and first-time visitors come through our doors made it incredibly special.
The numbers still blow us away:

We’ve been busy creating drinks that are almost too pretty to drink… almost.

“Can I grab the toilet key please?” 🚻🔑

Between Kiana and I, we hand over that key so many times a day we’re basically running a side business in toilet key distribution.
Don’t get us wrong, we’re always happy to help… but for a split second, we definitely thought you were coming for a coffee. 😅

For those looking to visit the sandwich shop and coffee shop on Wickham Street in Fortitude Valley, there are a few options for transportation. If traveling by public transport, take the train or bus to Fortitude Valley station and walk southeast towards Wickham Street. The shop will be located on the left-hand side of the road.
For those driving, there is limited street parking available on Wickham Street and nearby streets. Alternatively, there is a paid parking garage located just down the street from the shop.
