🇫🇷 Pain Perdu — more than French toast.
Pain Perdu literally means “lost bread” — a French tradition born from giving yesterday’s bread a delicious second life.
At The French Table, we make ours with house-made brioche, soaked in crème anglaise and cooked until beautifully golden.
We serve it with cinnamon-caramelised pineapple, toasted coconut flakes and cream — warm, soft and indulgent, with a little tropical twist. 🥥🍍

🇫🇷 Did you know one of France’s most luxurious sauces was born in Périgord?
Sauce Périgueux takes its name from the Périgord region of France, famous for its black truffles.
Rich, deep and unmistakably French, it’s traditionally built around a reduced sauce finished with truffle — the kind of sauce designed to transform a beautiful piece of meat.
On our new Spring/Summer menu, we serve it with our slow-cooked beef short rib.
Sometimes, the sauce really is the star. 🇫🇷

Introducing Les Soirées Françaises — a little midweek escape to France at The French Table.
Begin with freshly baked baguette, whipped goat’s cheese and confit cherry tomatoes, followed by our orange and tarragon chicken with Pommes Duchesse and Provençal ratatouille, and finish with the French classic Poire Belle Hélène.

🇫🇷 Duck à l'Orange — A French Classic, Reimagined
Few dishes are more closely associated with French cuisine than Duck à l'Orange.
Traditionally, the dish balances the richness of duck with the brightness of citrus, creating one of the most famous flavour combinations in French cooking.
At The French Table, we've taken inspiration from that classic idea and made it our own.
Our sauce is built from duck stock, fresh orange juice and a touch of honey, slowly reduced to create a rich, glossy sauce that brings sweetness, acidity and depth to every bite.
Served with green beans and braised fennel, it's our tribute to a timeless French favourite.

To get to the location on Doig Street in Cleveland, you can take the Red Line train and get off at the Cedar-University station. From there, walk south on Cedar Road until you reach Doig Street. Turn left onto Doig Street and continue for a few blocks until you reach your destination.
If you are driving, take I-90 and exit at Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Continue on MLK Jr. Drive until you reach Cedar Road. Turn right onto Cedar Road and then turn left onto Doig Street. There is street parking available near the location.
