To all our customers who have supported us over the last 8+ years, it is with a heavy heart that Manny & I (Peggy) have decided to close the doors to Esher Street Cafe. The extreme rise of costs of running a small business & with rent rises on the horizon, has made it extremely hard for us to continue. We have loved serving you over the past 8 years, but it has taken a big toll on both our & our families lives. Manny suffering a massive heart attack 6am in the morning in the shop in mid 2018, & undergoing quadruple open heart bypass surgery, 12 months off work, then back again to work only to then suffer losses with Covid 19 & all it’s problems for the 2 to 3 years following. Last year he had major back surgery, at that stage he was barely able to walk, but we pushed through, then earlier this year he had emergency surgery to have an errupted gallbladder removed, we have struggled greatly with our health both of us since & have tried to put this decision off for a very long time, but the bandaid has been ripped off forcing us to make this final decision. We have whitenessed many of you grow your families as you have ours, Friday the 24th close of business will be our last day of trade with you all. This weekend will be your last chance to spend a weekend breakfast, lunch or brunch with us to have our famous meals & great coffee. This week will be the last time we get to spend with you. So please come down so we can say our goodbyes to you all, & grab a bargain with our giftware, as we need to clear out everything. It all must go, as the landlord is going to gut out the shop, & make way for a new venue. We would like to thank you all for your amazing support over the years, & wish you all the very best for Christmas & the future.
Kindest Regards
Manny & Peggy
