To the Border Grill family,
My name is Renata Garcia, Alejandro's daughter.
One month ago, on June 19, 2026, my dad passed away in Mexico City.
I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who supported him during the years he proudly owned and operated Border Grill from 2020 to 2023.
My dad had a deep love for Mexican cuisine. Cooking wasn't just his profession—it was his passion and the way he shared his heart with others. He poured everything he had into Border Grill, and seeing so many people enjoy his food brought him so much happiness.
I know how much he loved serving the West End community, and I will always be grateful to every customer who walked through those doors, supported his dream, and gave him the opportunity to do what he loved most.
The kindness and loyalty of your customers meant the world to him. Thank you for believing in his food, for sharing meals with your families and friends, and for being part of his journey.
He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, passion, generosity, and unforgettable flavors that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and those who had the privilege of tasting his cooking.
He will always be remembered with love and pride.
