We’re Evolving – and You’re Invited to Join the Next Chapter

Many of you have been part of our journey from the beginning, and we believe that journey doesn’t end here. In fact, it’s just taking a new direction.

While Fiveways Espresso remains close to our hearts, we’ve also been quietly working on a project that speaks to another passion of ours: supporting small, independent café owners. We know firsthand how demanding and isolating this industry can be. Far too often, we hear the same thing:

"I’m wearing so many hats, I don’t have time to do what I opened my café for in the first place."

Running a café is so much more than great coffee, food, and friendly service. There’s admin, staffing, compliance, marketing, and everything in between, and the reality is, it’s exhausting. The time and energy left for creativity and growth can be almost non-existent.

That’s why we’ve created the Fiveways Espresso Café Owners Group, a subscription-based community built by café owners, for café owners.

It’s more than just one-on-one support (though we offer that too). It’s a space to connect with like-minded owners, share ideas, ask questions, and feel heard. A place where collaboration trumps competition, because no two cafés are the same, and that’s exactly what makes this industry so special.

We originally considered consulting, but we wanted something more real, more connected, something we wished had existed when we were starting out.

We also believe that support should be affordable. You shouldn’t have to stretch yourself financially to access guidance, encouragement, or community. We’ve created a space that offers real value, without breaking the bank.

Dear valued customers,

There is no smooth or easy way of saying this.

We have sold Fiveways Sherwood. We have ahhed and ummed about this and what it means. It’s one of the biggest decisions we have had to make but we know it’s time. We are tired and sadly not as passionate as we need to be to keep things exciting for you guys.

We are handing our keys and trust over to Oliver and Vivi starting next week. We hope you will continue to support the cafe and to get to know them. They have come from a background of managing cafes. We are excited to see the new life they will breathe into this space. We are so excited for Oliver and Vivi, and we hope that you back them just like you backed us in the beginning. It might be different, but it is a new beginning and fresh opportunity for the space to be lit up again, the way that it needs and deserves to be. They will be extending hours and opening back on weekends in the furture when things have settled. I will be posting about their new facebook and instagram pages soon. I hope you all give them some love and go follow along with them.

We wanted to thank all our staff that have come through Fiveways. They truly feel like members of our family and it’s going to be really tough saying goodbye to the relationships we have built through the years. Many of them trusted us to be their first employers and we never taken that lightly and we hope that working for Fiveways has been fulfilling and fun. As much as we have seen them grow up, they have seen us also grow up, becoming better and more confident bosses. They have made this experience and this chapter all worth it and have impacted our lives more than they probably understand.

The reason I wanted to write this is because many of you have been with us on this journey from the beginning and have seen Michael and I grow up in our twenties. We want to honour that. You have believed in what we created and what it has become through the years and that means more than words can express.

Thank you again for the incredible past 5 and half years.
We will miss you, our daily catch ups, laughs, and the journey we have shared together. We hope you would like to keep following along on a new Instagram and page.

We wish words could truly capture the gratitude and love we have for all of you and the Fiveways community! Thank you for being part of who Michael and I are today! We wouldn't be who we are without Fiveways Sherwood and all of you!

We are back tomorrow! ☕️

After a wild few days, we’re happy to say we’re back open and ready to serve you your much-needed coffee and treats!

This week, we’ll be opening at 7 AM, and we’ll keep you updated with any other changes as they come. Thanks for your patience and support—it means the world to us.

Pop in, say hi, and let’s get back to the good stuff. Stay safe, and we’ll see you soon! We will try have everything available but it depends on what suppliers are delivering.

Hey friends, us again! 👋😅
Thank you for coming through with a busy day today, even with the rush of getting everything ready for the crazy weather to come.

We wanted to let you all know that we have decided to close over Thursday and Friday. Just with the unknown of what will happen we are preparing the cafe for the worse as well as we can. We don’t want the unnecessary risk of bringing people out and not knowing what the weather will do. Thank you for supporting us along the way and for understanding! We hope to be back Monday if the weather is safe to do so!

Dear friends of Fiveways,

We wanted to share an important update with you all. After much thought and reflection during our recent break, we’ve decided to close on Sundays. The ongoing challenge of staffing Sundays led us to reevaluate how to keep things sustainable for our team.

While we’ll miss spending Sundays with you, we’re working towards extending our hours during the week to make up for the change. We’re truly sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment this might cause, but we’re excited to focus our energy on serving you Monday to Friday! We will keep you updated about the new lunch hours coming soon!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing by us through these changes. Your constant support means the world, and every coffee, meal, and conversation you share with us is something we deeply cherish.

Hey friends! 🙋‍♀️

For the first time in 5 years, we’ve decided to take a well-deserved break over Christmas. Yay! 🤩
We know it might be a little sad for some of you, but we promise we’ll come back refreshed and ready for the new year. Honestly, we’re feeling a bit burnt out, so this rest feels very needed.

✨🎄We’ll be open until the end of this week, finishing up an incredible year on Friday, the 20th back on the 6th of January. It’s been a massive year, and we’re so looking forward to taking some time to rest and recharge.

We hope you also get the chance to soak up this precious season with your loved ones, making beautiful memories and finding time to reset.

Until then, we’ll be here pouring coffee and serving up delicious food to get you through the week. Let’s finish the year strong together! ☕🍴🎄
