This week we were fortunate enough to meet with our local councilor Cr Lisa Atwood of Brisbane City Council. The issue of Parking, particularly on weekends when our local park hosts Minnippi parkrun and Men’s Walk & Talk was one matter Lisa committed to investigating.
The graphic attached is a proposal for overflow parking at times when the Park is particularly busy.

Option 1: Public Transport
- Take a train to Central Station in Brisbane.
- From Central Station, walk towards Ann Street and catch the bus number 61.
- Get off at the stop near Queen Street Mall.
- Walk along Queen Street until you reach Albert Street.
- Turn left onto Albert Street and continue walking until you reach the destination.
Option 2: Driving/Parking
- If coming from the north, take the M3 motorway towards Brisbane City.
- Take the exit towards Elizabeth Street and merge onto Elizabeth Street.
- Continue straight on Elizabeth Street until you reach Albert Street.
- Turn right onto Albert Street and continue driving until you reach the destination.
