Sirromet parkrun

Sirromet parkrun Sirromet parkrun is a weekly 5km event held at the picturesque Sirromet Winery, welcoming individuals of all ages and fitness levels to participate in a timed run, jog, or walk for free. Participants can enjoy the beautiful grounds while getting physically active and coming together with the local community. Event #448 this morning. We had a field of 38 runners and walkers. Of the 38, we had 19 first timers to Sirromet. We also had 1 PB, well done in those conditions Maria.

We also celebrated the 50th parkrun for Megan.

This morning we also had a great group of volunteers Linda, Shari, Oscar, Diane and Cherie. A reminder that there are volunteer roster positions to fill over the following weeks, please let us know if you can help out.

Hi Parkrunners,

Only two more sleeps to parkrun day and we can’t wait to see you at Sirromet parkrun.

If you are doing Bridge to Brisbane this Sunday and are conserving energy for the first K up the bridge we have a great opportunity to be a Marshall this Saturday, please let us know if you can help out.

There are also some great opportunities to volunteer on 19th and 26th September and future weeks. Let us know if you can help out over the next few weeks. If you haven’t volunteered before, full training is provided and you get to volunteer with a very friendly bunch!

Weather forecast is looking great for parkrun day. As usual first timers at 6.50 am followed by the run brief at 6.55 am, then off we go at 7am.

Please remember no dogs are not permitted at Sirromet.

Event #447 this morning. We had a field of 47 runners and walkers. Of the 47, we had 2 doing their first ever parkrun, welcome to the parkrun family and 5 other first timers to Sirromet. We also had 5 PBs, well done all.

We also celebrated the 400th parkrun for Pete, congratulations and Sue’s 250 parkrun at Sirromet last week.

This morning we also had a great group of volunteers Linda, Glenda, Graham, Jennifer, Isabell, Michelle and Paul. A reminder that there are volunteer roster positions to fill over the following weeks, please let us know if you can help out.

Event #446 this morning. We had a field of 52 runners and walkers. Of the 52, we had 3 doing their first ever parkrun, welcome to the parkrun family and 9 other first timers to Sirromet. We also had 8 PBs, well done all.

We also celebrated the 50th Parkrun milestone of Sandy, congratulations.

Thanks to everyone who attended event #445 this morning. We had a field of 63 runners and walkers who were able to enjoy the beautiful morning on the Sirromet hills!

Of the 63, we had 24 first timers & 14 PBs - congrats to all - some fantastic achievements this morning. Adrian Royce came home in first with a time of 19:36.

We also celebrated the 100th Parkrun milestone of Eric S, congratulations, and it was lovely to share this with you.

This morning we also had the great help of Jaanvi, Ian, Sean, Izzy, Julie, Poppy & Kathleen. A reminder that there are volunteer roster positions to fill over the following weeks, so please let us know below if you can help out.

Hey parkrunners,

The countdown is on to Sirromet parkrun, only 2 sleeps away - are you excited???
Yes, we are back again, same time, same place. And looking forward to seeing you.

Thanks to our awesome Sirromet family we have a full roster this week - Liam, Jaanvi, Sean, Julie, Poppy, & Kathleen - we couldnt do it without you guys so thanks for giving up your run for the greater good.
We still need a timekeeper for the 29th, and a marshal & 2nd tailwalker for the 5th, so if you can help out please put your hand up.

The weather is looking good for Saturday and our course is in great condition, now is the time to come along & join us. We will do a run brief at 6.50am, then get the run / walk/ crawl underway at 7am.
And just a reminder, dogs are not permitted at Sirromet due to the wildlife, so please leave your furry friends at home.
