π Day one into the new year for us and looking forward to it! π

πOur first night back and we have just sold out! Sorry for anyone that may have missed out. It's such a fine line as any pizza you have had in store is cold fermented overnight and rolled fresh the next day. We hate running out, but always want the freshest pizza we can possibly make and wasn't expecting such a big night! ππ€ Thanks so much to everyone that has come down. We have some exciting announcements for 2024 so we are super excited to be back into it!
Below is a photo of our crew yesterday out axe throwing! Super proud of this team and also the legends who couldn't make this catch up! π€ππ

π₯πWow, that was fun! π₯πWe were asked to come cater for over 600 soldiers at the Gallipoli barracks on Tuesday. The soldiers were all part of the Exercise Talisman Sabre and the awesome team including Nick from CSS thought it might be a nice surprise to have us involved! We rolled in with all 6 of our set-ups and got cracking. It worked like clock work and at times were working at about 20 pizzas every 3 minutes π€―π€It was a massive effort by my team and very proud of you all! ππ

π§π§ Sadly, looks like we are rained out! π§π§ So hard to call when it's not pouring rain, but don't want to rip the park up. Our shop The Farm Shack will be open from 4pm. Both phones will be there, so feel free to call either number π€π

Well... it feels like the end of an era. After 6 years, Friday the 8th of July will sadly be our last night in the park. It's been a decision I have been pondering for a while, but I sadly feel it's the right one.
For us, Keperra Picnic ground is where it started, all of those years ago and I have to thank the wonderful community for all their support. It's great to look back on the memories of those years in the park and what we have archeived. Back then, I was a novice 25 year old new business owner that flew to Melbourne and bought a food truck. My parents were expecting a little box trailer and bam,π€― that arrives. After that it was time to find a place for us to set up. With some deliberation, it was awesome to see Brisbane City council get onboard with the idea of operating in one of their parks. It took some arm twisting, but I was so grateful for that 3 month inital trial and the rest is history.
Back then, Keperra Picnic ground was a set of swings with one swing missing, a bench and some toilets and to look at it now. I can proudly say we were the first food truck to operate in any council park in Brisbane and it's great to see how many trucks that are doing it now. We did have to really push our case initially and so thankful to Council for taking a chance on us.
Looking back on our time, it will be sad to leave our site. It took many people to make it all work, from my amazing team, current and previous, that helped out for all of those years. It is the start of a new era and with us about to start our own deliveries, including delivering to Upper Kedron 6 days a week. So I guess we aren't really going anywhere. With our private functions booked out for most Saturdays until November, the new financial year gives us the opportunity to really get deliveries off the ground and my Friday night food truck team will be vital in making that happen. This brings me to another point...
With all our preparations and cold storage based out of our store, I have decided that it has come time to sell our Food truck as a stand alone business. It will be an amazing opputunity for a new operator to purchase the truck and do it their way. I'll do another post about this soon. This in no way will affect any of our future functions and plans for our 7th trailer will be finalised this week! π΅βπ«
Thanks again,
Warwick
