● Licketysplit Cafe ● will be set up in the Village so you can enjoy Organic Merlo Coffee & all of the Cold-pressed Juices & Smoothies, Smoothie Bowls, Bagels, Sorbet, Donuts etc (that we used to provide when we were down at the Jindalee Boat Ramp). There will also be new additions of hot Savoury Food and a range of yummy Salads and fresh baked Muffins and Cakes. We will be hiring staff closer to the launch date!

Sooooo ... I have had a dream that I've been working towards over the last 10 years ... it's called My Urban Village. The first step was getting my FoodVan Licketysplit Cafe off the ground and operating successfully, which I did for 3 years at the Jindalee Boat Ramp Park. I've been waiting for the right moment to launch My Urban Village and that moment is now.
The Village is a community hub for families, containing a Cafe, Creche, Retail space, Art Studio, Yoga Studio & Beauty Studio. The idea behind it is that the caregiver can drop off their kids in the Creche or at the Art Studio and while they are being occupied, the caregiver can recharge with Yoga, a coffee or some retail therapy etc. Also we'll be employing locals to work there.
It's a HUGE project and I've found the ideal location but with it being a huge project comes huge expenses which I can't do all on my own. I had planned to grow it in steps but the time has come to launch it as one. I've organised a GoFundMe to assist with being able to secure the location and start the fit-out.

N E W B E G I N N I N G S ... we've been very quiet but Licketysplit Cafe is evolving and will become stationary in a local shopfront. Before we can get there, we are searching for a plumber/gas-fitter and we'd like to employ one of our local customers. Either DM or call on 0423 978 199 if you are a licenced plumber/ gas-fitter. CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE ... currently negotiating with Council regarding Licketysplit returning to the Jindalee Boat Ramp due to the Park still not being fully operational since the floods of Feb 22 (and as a result significantly impacting how many people visit the Park 😢).
Meanwhile we are still doing events ... catch us at the following places for your cravings fix:
Thu, Aug 24 ... 6.30am to 9am ... Creative Garden Early Learning Centre, Sinnamon Park
Sat, Aug 26, 11am to 7pm ... Jindalee School Fete
Sun, Aug 27 8.30am to 2.30pm ...Physie Comp @ Centenary High School.

Drop by and pick up a the Entertainment Guide for the Jindalee School Fete on Aug 26th. Licketysplit will be there selling our Coffee, Bagels, Donuts, Sorbets & Juices. Also our youngest employee Amelia will be singing on stage at 5.10pm ... we'll hopefully see you there!

🌺 8 8 Y E A R S Y O U N G ... my Dad, who helps every morning and evening to set up and pack away the Van is 88 today! I could do it without him but he enjoys helping and he says it keeps him active, plus we're a good team. Secretly I think he enjoys the daily Iced Mocha that he can have without feeling guilty because he's done his "job" first, plus he loves to have a chat. He's really enjoyed the last couple of years of getting to know more locals (my parents have lived in the same house in Jindalee for 52 years) as he puts out the flags and signs for Licketysplit.
We are by the playground at the end of Curragundi Road and Mt Ommaney Drive, Jindalee until midday and then back from 3 till 5pm today.
