Sadness and joy
That was Jaime’s last day in the kitchen before he flew back to Spain. On a more joyful note, it was the day that we welcome Sam back into the team. Here they are with Cris, our Head Chef, who is also another long-time local Gap resident.

Talk about timing
When Jaime, a Spanish student, left Why Cook? to travel extensively around ASIA, Sam, a long-term Gap resident joined us to replace him. Unfortunately, earlier this year, Sam had to leave Why Cook? Jaime, who was back in Brisbane contacted us and resumed his previous position. As Jaime is now moving back home, we could not believe our luck when Sam gladly re-joined us at Why Cook? to replace Jaime.

What people say
WhyCook Australia is a caterer that offers unique home-style meals that are fresh, tasty, nutritious and balanced. Founded and run by Jocelyne and Patrice Moutou, this family business has a heartwarming story behind it. It all started when Jocelyne began cooking fresh meals every day for her family after the birth of their third child. Her friends and neighbors loved her food so much that they suggested she cook more for them to enjoy as well. This led to a small following that kept growing through word of mouth.
Although the couple had to stop cooking due to their son's growth, they have now returned to the kitchen with Chris, their professionally trained chef. They still maintain their home-style approach to cooking while ensuring an expert touch in every dish from their 5-star rated kitchen.
What sets WhyCook Australia apart is its commitment to clean, healthy and balanced cuisine made from locally sourced ingredients. The Moutous' upbringing in Mauritius instilled in them a belief in freshly-made organic meals made daily, which they have brought into their business.
Overall, WhyCook Australia is a great choice for anyone looking for delicious and nutritious meals prepared with care by a family-owned business with a passion for good food.
