Hey Everybody,
We’ve made the tough decision to close our Ipswich store.
This came together very quickly and wasn’t something we had planned. With the lease coming to an end and a lot of work ahead to return the space, we’ve had to begin packing down. All future bookings have been refunded, and we’re truly sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Our beautiful foster cats will be returning to the rescue for now. If you met someone special and are considering adoption, please reach out. They still need loving homes.
From here, we’ll be bringing all updates and news back to this page. The Annerley page will now serve as the main Lucky Cat Café page moving forward.
During this downtime, we’ll be focusing on online merch and retail products to help pay off debts and start preparing for a new home in the future.
Thank you for being part of our journey. Whether you met us in Annerley or Ipswich, your support has meant the world to us. We’re not done yet, and we can’t wait to see what’s next.

Hey everyone,
The cyclone hit us pretty hard, and to help get the café back on track, we’re reopening in the mornings from 6am to 10am, Monday to Friday.
We will be serving coffee and food. The cat lounge will continue to run on its usual schedule.
A big thanks to Ethan, one of our main baristas, for stepping up to open the store in the mornings for our old regulars. We appreciate your support more than ever and hope to see you soon!

Cyclone Alfred Update.
With Cyclone Alfred approaching this weekend, we will be closing the café for safety.
If you have a booking, please reach out, and we’ll do our best to reschedule for you. We will most likely get to that next week though.
Rest assured, our feline friends are safe and being well cared for.

We’re Back with Board Game Nights at our Ipswich store.
Do you love cozy board games, delicious drinks, and tasty treats? So do we! That’s why Lucky Cat Cafe Ipswich is bringing back Board Game Nights. Every Thursday from 4 PM!
It is free and will be in our cafe space.
So come grab a seat, pick from our always-growing game collection, or bring your own and borrow a table. And the best part? We now have a full café menu!
Whether you’re after a comforting hot drink, a refreshing cold brew, or a sweet treat to fuel your next big win, we’ve got you covered!
Our cat room will be open as usual, but since our feline friends lack thumbs (and fair play), board games must stay outside their space. If you would like to see that cats, you can also book in using our online booking system.
Parking on Brisbane Street is free after a certain time; just double-check when you park!
So come for the games, stay for the snacks, and enjoy a cozy Thursday night with us. We can’t wait to hang out with you!

Friday marked the end of our tenancy, and it’s a surreal feeling to say goodbye to the place where it all began.
Since purchasing the store in December 2021, we’ve called this space home. It’s where we grew, built our community, and ultimately, what led us to open our second location. In a span of 3 years, we almost hit 100 adoptions in Annerley alone.
While this may be a temporary setback, we want to reassure you that we’re committed to reopening our Brisbane store later this year.
In the meantime, if you’re in Ipswich, we’d love for you to visit us at Tenancy K, 164 Brisbane St, Ipswich QLD 4305.
With this page, we will be updating you all on all goings on with the Lucky Cat, like updates on the new store location, photos of our Ipswich Kitties, and our Monthly Artist drops.

Big update for our Ipswich crew! 🎉
We’re adjusting our hours based on your feedback and our mission to bring something fresh to Ipswich.
Starting next week, we’ll be open:
🐾 Mon - Tues: Closed for now
🐾 Wed - Fri: 12pm - 9pm
🐾 Sat - Sun: 11am - 9pm
The cat lounge will take a short break from 3 - 4pm each day to reset for our evening events and bookings.
Our goal, just like with our Annerley store, is for the Lucky Cat Cafe to be a true community space. We want this to be a place where everyone can relax, connect, and share in our love of all animals.
We will also be rolling out board game nights, trivia, book club, and pat & paint sessions, but we want your input too! What events would you love to see? Come in, chat, and help us create something special together.
We want this to be more than just a cafe, and we can’t wait to see you soon! 😻

Today marks the last day of our time at Annerley, and we want to take a moment to thank every one of you who has supported us along the way, from our amazing adopters who’ve given so many kitties their forever homes, to everyone who has been a part of our journey. Your support and kindness have meant the world to us.
We also want to let everyone know that our little Annerley fostees will now move to our Ipswich store. So if you would like to come visit Waffles, Mittens, Bonnie, Adele, and Willow, they’ll be settling into their new home from tomorrow.
And don’t worry, this isn’t goodbye forever, it is more of a see you soon. We hope to be back in Brisbane sometime this year, with more adoptable cats, events, and food (we’re making sure we can have a kitchen this time).

We have some heartbreaking news to share. Our Annerley store will be closing permanently as of January 26th due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
This wasn’t an easy decision, and we’re devastated to have to share it so close to our final day. The Annerley store has been our home for years, filled with cherished memories and countless moments with you and our furry friends.
The good news?
Our plan was always to find a new space closer to the city and then transition over to that space during the year. We just did not think we would be forced to make the decision to leave before that. So, this is not us saying goodbye forever.
Our Ipswich store will of course remain open, and we’ll continue to expand and grow there while searching for a new Brisbane location.
With our fosters, we will be slowly moving them over to Ipswich over the next few weeks.
Here’s how you can help us during this transition:
