At Blackbird family, we’re incredibly proud to stand behind our amazing roasting partners and the quality of the coffee they produce. That’s why we offer our Happiness Guarantee.

Here’s how it works:
If you purchase any 1kg coffee beans based on our team’s recommendation and don’t quite love the flavour at home, simply bring the beans back (with 850g+ remaining) along with your receipt to either our Camp Hill or Salisbury cafe.

We’ll happily exchange it for another 1kg bag of beans — completely free (same value or lower, one exchange only).

Why do we do this?

As we all know, Mother’s Day is one of the busiest days of the year, and while mistakes can sometimes happen despite our best efforts, both our FOH and BOH teams worked incredibly hard to give all mums and mother figures the beautiful day they deserve.

We’re especially proud of our young team today — they showed up with so much care, energy, and heart to deliver the best experience possible for our customers.

Yesterday the council approved our food safety at 4pm, and we officially announced on our social media at 6pm that we were open today. We honestly didn’t think the news would reach much of the Salisbury community in time.

But today we were so happy and surprised — we felt like the whole Salisbury community came to support us. From open to close, it was non-stop. On top of that, so many of our amazing Camp Hill customers came to celebrate our grand opening with us as well. We truly felt so supported and grateful all day.

Thank you so much for your support, patience, and kindness. We really appreciate every single one of you, and we can’t wait to keep making more great coffee for you.

What a journey it’s been — a full one-week renovation brought to life with so much hard work, heart, and support. We are truly grateful to our amazing long-time customers, especially for the incredible 12-hour days, and to our wonderful Salisbury team for your dedication and support throughout. Most importantly, thank you to our Salisbury community — we’re so excited to finally be serving you ❤️

Our renovation team has been working around the clock to bring our .salisbury site back to life, and we’re doing everything we can to reopen as soon as possible!

A huge thank you to all our incredible builders, tradies, and suppliers for their hard work and dedication. And to our amazing Salisbury team — thank you for your patience, understanding, and ongoing support. We truly appreciate it.

What a great dinner night with our Blackbird family team from both Camp Hill and Salisbury. It would have been even more amazing if 100% of our team could make it, but we all know it’s not easy to organise a night that works for everyone on short notice — we feel like a small win is easier haha.

We’re so grateful for this team. Thank you for your hard work, your support, and for being part of this journey with us. Because of you, we’re not only proudly serving our Camp Hill community, but very soon the Salisbury community too.

Reno Day 1 at .salisbury ☕️

New wall painting, redoing the decking, and we’ve also ordered all new tables and chairs for the shop. Slowly bringing the space back to life and we’re very excited to see it all come together.

Last day trading as Cups and Wells today, and it feels a little emotional.

This afternoon , my family and my little boy came to help clean the shop before the builders start refurbishing tomorrow. It’s the end of one chapter and the beginning of a new one for us as .salisbury .

We feel very grateful for the opportunity to be part of this amazing Salisbury community, and we promise to put a lot of love into this little space. We can’t wait to welcome you all very soon❤️❤️❤️

Dear Cups & Wells community,

We have an important and very special update to share with you.

Due to family commitments, the current owner will be returning to Vietnam and has made the heartfelt decision to pass on her much-loved cafe. Cups & Wells has always been a place built on community, kindness, and a genuine love for great coffee, and we are truly honoured to be trusted to continue this beautiful journey.

We would like to introduce ourselves — we are .espresso . We have proudly served the Camp Hill community since 2016, and we are passionate about consistency, premium quality coffee, variety, and warm, genuine service. Our goal is simple: to look after people and serve great coffee every single day.

We’re also very happy to let you know that all current Salisbury team members will be staying with us, so you will still see the same friendly faces and smiles you know and love.

Settlement will take place on Monday, 23rd March, and we will then complete a short refurbishment to refresh the space for the next chapter. The cafe will be temporarily closed from Monday 23rd March to Saturday 29th March.

When we reopen, we will be welcoming you back as Blackbird Espresso – Salisbury. Same community, same friendly team, same love for coffee — just a new chapter.

Thank you for your support, kindness, and understanding during this transition. We truly look forward to meeting you all very soon.
