As the weeks, months and then years have passed, I’ve discovered the profound joy that comes from serving our very own community! We have been blessed to call Graceville home for 30 years now, with the last 2 years being a remarkable journey as a small business here too.
As I get to know more of my community members, through our cafe, I witness vibrant, compassionate and generous community members who demand nothing but EFFORT to reach the highest standards that we can, and I expect nothing but the best from us too!
Sometimes we get it right and sometimes we don’t. But please know…..we ALWAYS care. More than you’ll ever realise.
We are open every day now! Come to Graceville Moments Cafe (Bank Road) and give us a try. Hopefully we will impress you with our efforts.

Chocolate gifts….visit us and share your ideas; call or text me (0402 680 192) to start the creative process.
As we make all our own chocolates locally, we can provide tailored responses. For example, these Gift boxes were crafted for our customer who needed 12 assorted handmade chocolate truffles inside for a special event. We would be so pleased to help you achieve a chocolatey success for your event!

There are infinite possibilities for things to go wrong in a busy cafe….
And they do!
I want to thank our community members who come into Graceville Moments Cafe, on a weekend. Thank you for your patience and support as we continue to work hard with the VERY young team members who are super keen to learn how to be successful caring for our customers.
We have two 15 year olds and a 17 year old doing a great job exploring the challenging front of house role. They work with a spirit of fun but also an attitude of hard work.
You will see them take and serve your orders, clear and clean your tables, wash and dry your dishes and so much more!
They are incredibly passionate about their work and a joy to teach. We laugh a lot; a LOT!
Thank you again for being so patient with them - it’s wonderful to observe my customers understanding and kindness.

What is your name?
A customer came in on the weekend and ordered a coffee. It was busy….so I asked her, “What is your name so I can complete your order, please?”
She hesitated. Only for a split second but I recognised the slight pause. (My thought was that she’s private about such matters, and not everyone is comfortable disclosing their name, so I suggested, with a nonjudgmental attitude, that she seems to be creating a fake name for the order).
She giggled and agreed she was trying to quickly think of a name other than her own. I explained that we ask this to prevent confusion in busy periods and that we don’t ‘hold onto’ customers names or other personal details.
Her laugh was so hearty that it took me by complete surprise….she said simply….my name is “Karen” and this name has been ruined through advertising and the media.
I laughed with her and told that my name is “Heather” and has also gone through this process. We have become name-shame buddies now! 😂😂😂😳
By the way, come and try some of our salads. They really are delicious and wonderful take-away options for home!
Like this scrumptious Grilled chicken, quinoa and broccoli salad!

Enjoy the moments….
One of the most special times in a cafe, is when a large group of people arrive to spend time with us!
Yesterday and today was particularly lovely as each day presented us with a large group of mature and energetic customers.
I was struck by their easy laughter and cheeky banter with each other, and with us. I was also surprised by their openness about times past. Photos were shared; family stories were told and wise advice dished out, when appropriate. They were also interested in us!
One of my favourite comments of the day, whispered to me while proudly showing me her treasured family photos from decades ago was….
“Enjoy every moment of your life, because one day you will wish you had more time”.
This, of course truly resonated with me!
(Harder than it sounds…right?)
