🚨 WAFFLE FRY UPDATE 🚨
The potato gods are at it again.
There’s currently a supply issue with our usual gluten-free waffle fries, which has caused mild panic, deep reflection, and a few emotional support potatoes behind the bar.
As you know, our fryers are coeliac-friendly and cannot tolerate gluten, so we’re sticking with safe gluten-free options while the waffle-shaped legends are temporarily hard to get.
In the meantime, your fries may look a little… different. Possibly less waffle. Possibly more “use your imagination.”
Please don’t give us a 1-star review. We’re doing our best in these trying potato times.
We’ll let you know when regular waffle programming resumes.
Stay dry out there. 🥔

Stout Cask Rum Espresso Martini? Yes please. ☕🥃
We’ve taken the classic espresso martini and given it a darker, richer twist with HUSK Distillery rum — smooth, bold, and just the right amount of dangerous.
Think coffee, rum, stout-cask depth, and a proper little winter warmer in a glass.
Available now at Sasquatch Bar.
Come try one this weekend. 🍸

Ahh the simple things, Sasquatch now with fresh electricity.
After the hiccup from the power gods yesterday, we are back to normal trade today.
Hop on down for some hoppy goodness.
20/03/2026
Folks, we are having some electrical supply issues here at Sasquatch today. Unfortunately we are currently not able to serve. Don’t worry, we have the man for the job working on it. Hope to be fully operational in a few hours. Current estimates say we’ll be back up and running by 5pm. We’ll keep you posted. 🫣

For the wine nerds (and the noodle nerds):
Nebbiolo x Sangiovese x Merlot x Nero d’Avola… somehow all playing nicely together.
It’s got that spicy / juicy thing going on and the name is ridiculous in the best way.
Pastafarian is pouring now. 🍷

Just a little reminder that SUNDAYS ARE CLOSED
Thanks to all the couples who smashed 😂 poutines for Valentine’s Day yesterday, it got… intense. Pretty sure we broke some kind of cheese curd and gravy consumption record… but who’s keeping count?!
And if you missed out because you were flying solo, don’t stress. We’ve got loads more poutine waiting for you from Tuesday next week. ❤️

The Kitchen is Getting a Little Quieter: Farewell, Avi 🥲
It’s truly the end of an era here at Sasquatch. After four incredible years, Chef Avi, is hanging up his apron and moving on to his next big adventure.
Avi joined us back in 2020, stepping into the heat of the kitchen during one of the wildest times the world has ever seen. Since then, he hasn’t just been our chef; he’s been a vital part of the Sasquatch team 😊
But more than the food, we are going to miss the vibe. The kitchen is going to feel a lot emptier without Avi’s fabulous singing
Avi, thank you for:
> Years of unwavering dedication
> The incredible dishes that defined the Sasquatch menu
> Teaching us that a kitchen functions best when there’s music in the air.
> Being a teammate, a mentor, and a friend.
We are so proud of everything you’ve accomplished here and even more excited to see what you do next. You’ll always have a seat at our table!
Go get ‘em, Avi! We’re rooting for you. 🥂✨💟

Starting Sunday, 15/02/2026, we’ll be closed for regular Sunday trade.
We love being your local go-to, and to keep it that way, we’re taking Sundays to focus on some big winter upgrades.
While regular trade is taking a break, the community spirit isn’t:
🏒 Catch every away game on a SUNDAY right here with the crew. We’ll be playing all 8 away games and the finals 😏
🎉 Alternatively we’ll be keeping the space also open for functions
A huge thank you to our incredible community for the support and understanding as we shift gears a bit 🥰Routine is everything, so thanks for sticking with us while we work on making Sasquatch even better for your next visit. We truly have the best locals in the game. Cheers!

What people say
Sasquatch Bar, located on Gympie Road in Brisbane, has received mixed reviews from various sources. According to a recent review in the Brisbane Times, the bar offers an impressive selection of craft beers and ciders, but the food is hit or miss. The reviewer praised the pulled pork burger but found the chicken wings to be dry and lacking flavor. Another review on TripAdvisor echoed similar sentiments about the food, stating that while the drinks were great, the meals were average at best.
However, not all reviews have been negative. A recent article in Broadsheet commended Sasquatch Bar for its cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. The writer also enjoyed their meal of crispy chicken tenders and fries.
Online customer comments have been mixed as well. One reviewer on Google praised Sasquatch Bar for its "great beer selection" and "friendly service," while another complained about slow service during peak hours.
It's worth noting that these reviews are relatively recent, with most published within the last year. However, it's important to keep in mind that everyone's experience can differ depending on factors such as time of day or what they ordered.
Overall, it seems that Sasquatch Bar is a decent spot for drinks but may not be the best choice for a full meal. As one TripAdvisor reviewer put it: "If you're looking for a good place to grab a drink with friends after work or on weekends then this is your place."
